The Easton Mako
The Little League World Series may have ended two months ago, but the buzz lives on with the release of final equipment usage statistics.
According to Easton, a staggering 91.9% of all at bats in the series featured Easton bats, with the new Mako model claiming 43.4% of them. Additionally, 94.1% of all the homeruns during the series were hit with Easton bats.
It is important to keep in mind that none of the players were required to use Easton products, and that other equipment manufacturers were represented in the series as well. So why did Easton get such heavy usage? It has a lot to do with their newest bat, the Mako. The Easton Mako claims to be the fastest bat through the zone, with the most barrel through the zone, and has earned some impressive results in a short time. In fact, the Mako may be Easton’s best product launch since the Redline 15, years ago.
Early sales figures for the Easton Mako have been have been strong so far, but with the holiday shopping season on the horizon, the bat will likely only get more popular. SGB is even saying that it could be the hottest selling team sports product at retail this holiday season.
