Committed to making the best baseball bats in the game, DeMarini never leaves any doubts in regards to their product performance on the field. That’s where I introduce you to the 2015 CF7, crafted by true pros and made with incredible technology that lasts.
The CF7 Baseball Bat is constructed with the Paradox Plus+ Composite Barrel, using compact carbon to maximize strength while still keeping the barrel light. That’s Demarini giving hitters exactly what they want: a strong bat with a light swing weight. The paradox composite material also gets used in the handle, where it’s combined with a thermo-fused taper, creating the famous D-Fusion FT Handle. The D-Fusion, just like last year, will eliminate vibration to the hands and redirect energy right back to the barrel for a ridiculous trampoline effect. DeMarini has taken it a step further in 2015 by adding the FT (Flame Tempered) Treatment, fusing the handle to the barrel for an even stiffer feel than ever before.
The Low Pro End Cap is a dual density flap cap, crafted to optimize and maintain an ultimate feel throughout while still playing to the balanced swing weight consistency. Similar to the handle, this end cap will redirect energy right back to the barrel upon contact, increasing the power and distance behind your hits! The RCK knob anatomically fits to your hands, giving you the comfort needed to perform at your highest potential. Lastly, the 2015 DeMarini’s come with a rotation index, giving you the instruction you need to properly rotate your bat to extend its life and increase durability.
I had the privilege of jumping in the batting cage with the BBCOR edition of the 2015 CF7, along with some of the other new release BBCOR bats, and I have to say that you can definitely tell the upgraded D-Fusion handle makes a big difference. I felt next to no sting in my hands no matter where the ball impacted the barrel. For example, the 2015 Vexxum NVS has a lot of great features, but its C6 composite handle is a step behind the D-Fusion handle that’s equipped on both the CF7 and the 2015 Voodoo Overlord FT.
Another thing I noticed was how high-performing the paradox composite barrel was on the CF7. It plays soft and strong, consistently driving the ball further than I expected. The Voodoo Overlord FT and the Vexxum NVS both have aluminum barrels, and while their performance is still outstanding, they weren’t quite at the same performance level of the CF7 because of the lack of composite material. Let’s just be honest; composite material goes a long way… literally!

Just getting an opinion on the CF7 and Voodoo. My son swung a 30/21 last year at 11U and we really liked it. I am leaning to the new Voodoo 31/22 going into 12U, but your comments on the CF7 soft double wall composite barrel has me thinking about the CF7 in -8. I know it will be a lighter swinging bat and not sure I like that since he is more of a power hitter being a larger kid.
Mike,
You’ve narrowed your search down to two fantastic new bats for 2015, so you can’t really go wrong. If you want to keep your son on the end load side of things versus balanced, then the 2015 Voodoo Overlord FT would be a great choice. It’s probably the best aluminum barrel, mid/end loaded baseball bat in the game. Note that this years Voodoo has more of a mid-load than an end-load, but that’s beneficial in the fact that you get a little more control but still have extra mass and power in the barrel. While the CF7’s top of the line composite barrel is top notch and is still powerful, it still caters more to players who need to increase swing speed and improve bat control.
Is this bat really that much different than last year’s CF6? It has the same materials, and same D-Fusion handle. The swing weight on the CF7 is just a little bit lighter. The FT is just supposed to eliminate vibration. The end cap is pretty much the same. I want to buy the new CF7 but I just don’t have too good of a reason. Is there any reason to choose this bat for $450 over the CF6 for around $270.
Thomas,
You’re right in a lot of ways… The two bats are almost identical as DeMarini just added the additional Flame-tempered (FT) treatment to the D-Fusion Handle. This is an upgrade for the CF7 over the CF6 as, like you said, it helps eliminate vibration even more BUT it also increases the trampoline effect by doing a better job at transferring contact energy right back into the sweet spot. This will further increase the distances of hits and makes the bat that much hotter. Is it worth the additional money when you can get a CF6 BBCOR at CheapBats.com for as low as $224.95? That’s a personal choice. The CF6 is a terrific bat and, though the CF7 is supposed to a bit better, you wouldn’t be missing out on a whole lot.

i personally have this bat and i love it
My son will be playing 9u next year. He is 4’7″ and about 77 lbs. he swung a 30/19 Easton XL3 2 1/4 ” barrel last year, with good success. I am trying to figure out which big barrel CF7 to get: 30/20 or 29/19, and also whether to go with the 2 5/8″ or 2 3/4″ barrel. Any advice?
Joel,
The 30/20 would be the perfect length to weight ratio for his size.
As far as the barrel diameter, 2 5/8″ or 2 3/4″, it depends on the 9U league he’s playing in and what they allow. If they allow the 2 3/4″ barrel, then I would go with that. If not, then go with the 2 5/8″ barrel.

My son is 10 1/2, smidge over 5 feet and smidge over 100 lbs. Last year used CF6 31″ 20 oz. He ended on 250- 260ft. home run and led his team with .780 average – against good pitching. He loves CF6, said he feels it is more like wood bat, feels the weight further down and loves it. If we were going to get a CF7, what size weight do you suggest?
TD,
A 31″ length is perfect for him and the CF7 Youth Little League is a -11oz so that would leave him with a 31″/20oz again just like he used last year with the CF6. You can check that out here http://www.cheapbats.com/shop/2015-demarini-cf7-youth-baseball-bat-11oz-wtdxcfl-p-6672.html
I’m 14 and I got the 32 29 and it is GREAT
Glad you like it, Cole!
I’m looking for a bat for my very strong, power hitting 8 yo who plays a lot of ball. He currently has an s1 and an s3. Looking for the best demarini. Which bat would you suggest and why?? Thanks in advance.
The 2015 DEMARINI VOODOO OVERLORD YOUTH BASEBALL BAT -13OZ WTDXVDL-15 would be a good little league 2 1/4″ barrel diameter bat for your son to start with. I wouldn’t be able to suggest a length/size unless I knew how big of a kid he is. This Voodoo Overlord bat has an extended barrel with a wider circumferential sweet area for him to take advantage of, so if he’s a power hitter he should like it a lot. The barrel is aluminum & the handle is composite, so it’s a half and half bat. The D-Fusion Handle it has eliminates a lot of vibration, so he should be comfortable with it.
Thank you. He currently has a 29/19 and a 30/19. Both of which he has been swinging for 2 years. He could probably go 31/20 I’d guess.
If he’s swinging a -11, then the 2015 DEMARINI CF7 YOUTH BASEBALL BAT -11OZ WTDXCFL-15 would be a good fit. The CF7 is DeMarini’s top of the line bat as it’s 100% composite and has the D-Fusion Handle on it as well.
Thank you. I was wondering about that one.
Looking for a senior league bat for my son and I am debating between the CF7 31/26 versus CF6 32/24. He is currently swinging an older model Voodoo 31/26 and likes it but we want a composite barrel. I can pick up the CF6 for $150. Give me a good reason to spend the extra money and buy the CF7. My son is 5’5″ and 105 lbs.
If he’s swinging a 31/26 -5oz, I wouldn’t back him down to a 32/24 -8oz. The CF7 is a top notch bat, so you can’t go wrong adding that to your son’s bat bag. The D-Fusion Handle limits vibration and the 100% composite build makes it extremely durable.
I am thinking about buying the cf7 my son is 4’8″ & 79 lbs swings a major 29 18 which Is to short for him what size bat do you recommend he also plays ball all year long. He is currently swinging a Mako
Kurt, I would recommend a 30″ bat length for your son. In terms of the weight, it just depends on his strength. If he’s using a 29″/18oz -11oz right now, then maybe try a 30″/20oz -10oz or a 30″/19oz -11oz.
We bought the -10oz 2 /34 this Spring and the bat has cracked on us. We then got it replaced only to have it happen again. We did not do anything out of the ordinary with the bat. Is anyone else having these problems or what could we be doing wrong? Thanks.
As long as you’re just hitting baseball with the bat, you’re not doing anything wrong. It could just be a coincidence, but that’s why having a warranty on your bat is so important. I’m sorry that happened to you twice. I haven’t heard anything regarding durability issues with the 2015 CF7’s made by DeMarini, however the new 2016 CF8’s will be coming out later this summer if you’re looking for a new bat.
Yes I brought the 2015 DeMarini CF7 senior league bat the 1st day it crack when testinf it was it post to do that just curioue? Have anyone have that trouble with that model Heard some good ones and some bad one could it just been defective
Brad, the CF7 if bought at regular cost, should have a full one year warranty. Once in a while bats have issues, which is why the warranty is always important no matter what kind of bat you have.
I need a balanced bbcor bat im am a contact hitter need some more power and im 5’1 and about 90 lbs what size and would this be a good fit
The CF7 BBCOR from DeMarini is actually out of stock right now because the new 2016 CF8 is launching on 8/1, which is just in a week and a half or so. The CF8 will be a good option for you, as it’s made with a good balance. I would recommend the 30″/27oz size for you if you need a BBCOR.
Really curious to find out weather the -10 2 3/4 barrel cf7 and the new -10 2 3/4 barrel cf8 will be the same bat just dif color. The cf7 didn’t last 2 months before it cracked. Hopefully the cf8 has a little thicker wall
They’re going to be very similar, however the updated D-Fusion 2.0 Handle on the CF8s should take reducing unwanted sting/vibration to a whole new level. As far as the CF7 you had cracking, they do come with a one year warranty and once in a while a bat is defective so that’s when the warranty is so handy to have. We sold a ton of CF7 baseball bats last year and there weren’t many complaints/returns. The walls in the CF8 are pretty much a mimic of the CF7.
